UNIQLO to open at Centre Eaton de Montréal in late 2020

UNIQLO, the Japanese global apparel retailer, today announces plans to launch in Montreal with the opening of a first store in Centre Eaton de Montréal during late 2020, marking the brand's entry into Québec. The announcement also paves the way for the beginning of recruitment at all levels for the company’s expanding Canadian operations.

"Since our first store opening in Canada in fall 2016, we have had our eyes set on Montréal and we are pleased and excited to answer our customers’ many demands for a store in la belle province,” said Yuichiro Kaneko, CEO of UNIQLO Canada. "We look forward to introducing UNIQLO and our high quality, affordable and thoughtfully created LifeWear apparel to Montrealers and Quebecers alike and welcoming them to our new store, a testimony to dynamic redevelopment of Montreal’s downtown core with the opening of the store at Centre Eaton de Montréal, in late 2020."

The plans for Montréal follow the recent opening of the first UNIQLO in Edmonton, taking the brand truly nationwide with a total of 14 stores across the country. “Canada is an important market with discerning shoppers able to judge true value. Our success here is an important part of the brand’s global outreach,” Kaneko said.
